STEP-BY-STEP SETUP

STEP 1 — Safety Confirmation

• Ensure all firearms are unloaded.  
• Confirm no live ammunition is present in the training area or room.

STEP 2 — Battery Check

• Unscrew the back cap from the cartridge body.  
• Remove the black battery protector tab if present.  
• Ensure batteries are inserted with the unmarked (negative) side facing up.  
• Screw the back cap onto the cartridge body until finger tight.  

To test function:

• Point in a safe direction.  
• Press firmly on the rear rubber strike pad using the tip of a ballpoint pen.  
• A visible beam should activate momentarily.

If no activation occurs, recheck battery orientation and ensure the cap is secure.

STEP 3 — Chamber Installation

• Confirm again that the firearm is unloaded.  
• Insert the cartridge fully into the chamber.  
• Carefully close the action onto the cartridge.  
• Gently guide the slide or bolt forward. Do not allow it to slam shut.

The cartridge remains seated and will not auto-eject during use.

NORMAL OPERATION – 9mm

• Activation occurs when the firing pin strikes the rear rubber strike pad.  
• In double action platforms, activation occurs with each full trigger press.  
• In single action platforms, you must cycle the slide between trigger presses.  
• The triple O-ring design ensures a snug, centered chamber fit.  
• The reinforced back cap is designed to withstand repeated firing pin impacts.

If partial trigger presses do not activate the unit, full trigger travel is required.

TROUBLESHOOTING – 9mm

If the cartridge does not fit:

• Lightly oil the O-rings using standard gun oil.  
• Clean the barrel and chamber.  
• If necessary, remove one O-ring to reduce friction.

If activation is inconsistent:

• Ensure full trigger press.  
• Confirm strike pad is not excessively worn.  
• Replace the strike pad if heavy dimpling or wear is visible.

If the unit seems loose:

• Confirm correct 9mm model selection.  
• Inspect O-rings for wear or damage.

If resistance is felt:

• Confirm the action is fully open.  
• Apply steady, even pressure.  
• Do not hammer or strike the object.

The cartridge is designed to remain seated during use and will not auto-eject. Manual removal is normal.

If activation does not occur with partial trigger movement, this is normal. Full trigger travel is required.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTICE – .380 ACP

• Not compatible with revolvers.  
• Not compatible with Ruger SR series.  
• Not compatible with Walther CCP.  
• Not compatible with Hi-Point firearms.

Due to design differences, some .380 platforms may vary in firing pin energy. This is normal and platform-dependent.
